03/03/2012 - Bakers Dolphin Expands Into Cornwall
West Country coach tour operator Bakers Dolphin is expanding into Cornwall, offering home pick-ups for its range of British and continental coach holidays.
The firm, which has been in business since 1889 and has its headquarters in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, has to date picked up in an area stretching from Gloucester in the North to Plymouth in the South.
Sales and Marketing Director Amanda Harrington said: "It makes sense to cover the whole South West peninsula for us and we believe that there is an opportunity to provide Cornish people with the holidays they want."
"Our Home Link service – free to people who live within 10 miles of a pick up point - have proved tremendously popular and we believe that will make a big difference to Cornish people wanting coach tours."
"At the moment we believe there is an opportunity in Cornwall as there are no operators in the area with the range of holidays and tours that we are able to offer. We will be rolling out a programme to include our Gold Coach offering and our UK and continental breaks."
