Company overview
Originally established in 1919 by Arthur Skill, Skills remains a family-owned, local company, with fantastic connections to the local community. Today Skills is managed by Arthur’s grandsons, Nigel Skill (Managing Director) and Simon Skill (Financial Director), as well Peter Hallam (Operations Director) who has worked alongside three generations of the Skills family in his career at the company.
Skills now operates a fleet of well over 50 modern touring coaches and continues to maintain its profile as a market leader in the industry. The company also operates its very own driver training school and has 4 dedicated travel shops in Nottingham, Derby, Loughborough and Beeston.

Skills’ competitive prices and variety of vehicles mean that they can provide transport and travel for all needs or occasions. Their modern fleet ranges from 16-seat mini-buses, to 61-seat executive coaches with full-on board facilities, toilet, hot and cold drinks, televisions, air conditioning and reclining seats. They also have a selection of 74-88 seater double-deckers with seat belts.
