06/02/2015 - Johnsons’ Spellbound Party Break

Johnsons Coach Travel loyalty club members party weekend

Johnsons Coach Travel took 126 loyalty club members away to The Ribble Valley in Lancashire for a party weekend on Sunday 1st February and enjoyed a Witches & Ghouls themed celebration.

Johnsons Coach Travel in Henley-in-Arden organised an action packed three day party break for their "SeeMore" loyalty club members at the four star Marriott Hotel in Preston. One hundred and twenty six clients joined them for the break and enjoyed visiting many attractions such as the 14th century Townley Hall and the historic Leighton Hall. Clients also enjoyed High Tea at the iconic Art Deco style Midland Hotel in Morcombe on Sunday, lunch at Bashall Farm in the beautiful Trough of Bowland on the Monday and a tasty bacon bap at Tatton Park on their journey north.

John Booth from Red Rose Heritage Tours gave the clients a fascinating talk over cream tea about the history of the Lancashire Witches, which got everyone in the mood for the highlight of the break - the Witches, Ghouls and Wizards themed party on Monday 2nd February. Clients were encouraged to dress in spooky attire and were entertained after dinner by the Swing Commanders - a vibrant and versatile group that performed an exciting mix of 1940s classics, boogie-woogie, western swing, 50s jump jazz and much more!

John Johnson, Commercial Director at Johnsons Coach Travel said "Our SeeMore Party Weekends are always such great fun. Our clients really get into the spirit of the theme and we saw clients as witches, wizards, Draculas' and Harry Potter characters. Lancashire and the Ribble Valley which are known for their Pendle Witches made the perfect setting and the Marriott Preston Hotel really looked after us".
